Vote NO to the IBA
Protect Tahltan sovereignty. Protect our land.

WHY WE ARE SAYING NO
Pre-Existing Project?
No, this is a new mine with significant new impacts.
Eskay is a new project, built on outdated infrastructure, with major new environmental and cultural impacts that have not been fully assessed.
Job Security for Families?
Red Chris isn’t ending and we don’t need more camp jobs.
Our people already have stable employment.
Skeena can’t guarantee jobs longer than 12 years, and this IBA adds risk, not security for Tahltan workers and families.
Nation Building?
There is no Nation-level consensus on how revenue would be used.
Short-term payouts do not strengthen Tahltan governance or sovereignty.
They weaken our ability to build long-term opportunities for future generations.
Tahltan Stewardship?
No, Skeena decides if we disagree with them, and our fish and waters are at risk.
This agreement gives Skeena the power to override our concerns.
If the Nation disagrees with the company, Skeena decides, not us.
True Tahltan stewardship means we control what happens on our lands, not industry.
The Bottom Line?
Our Nation deserves agreements that protect our land, culture, and future — NOT rushed deals with unclear benefits and long-term consequences.
Protect Tahltan sovereignty. Protect our land.
VOTE NO
OUR LAND. OUR FUTURE. WE MUST CHOOSE WISELY.
VOTE NO to Skeena IBA on Dec 13 & 14
A vote for the IBA, which outlines the impacts and benefits of this project, is also being considered a vote for the approval of Eskay mine. It seems odd to us that we are both consenting to this mine — at the same time — as we are voting on compensation for it.
K’adesibē cannot support this IBA or Eskay mine because of the risk it poses to our lands, waters, fish, and everyone who depends on them — our families, our communities, our Nation.
